Exactly three months prior to the parliamentary elections, VMRO-DPMNE and Macedonia are stronger and more united than ever. Macedonia is strong because of the people who are angry with SDSM for pushing them into a political crisis. They will punish SDSM in the elections in which VMRO-DPMNE will score yet another victory, its 10th in a row, Nikola Gruevski said Sunday. The people in the upcoming elections will convey four messages, the president of the ruling party VMRO-DPMNE said in an address at the 16th annual conference of the party’s Union of Women held in Skopje.Speaking at the conference, Gruevski referred to the political crisis gripping Macedonia since last year in which ‘someone had used SDSM in a cunning way to topple VMRO-DPMNE and destabilize Macedonia’.
“Despite everything being planned perfectly, one crucial thing was missing – the people, who after being confused and surprised at first, have quickly dismissed the long planned and well executed dirty game,” said Gruevski stressing Macedonia was strong because of its people.
The political crisis, he added, will end on 24 April.
The people of Macedonia on April 24 will show to whom this country belongs and convey four messages, according to him.
“The first message, intended for those inside and outside its borders, is that this country belongs to the people… The second message is to all current and future politicians that trust cannot be won with cunning games, the third one is that criminals and scammers cannot come to power no matter how rich they are. And the fourth message of the people is that they are not only masters of this territory, but they are also wise and smarter than any services.
Referring to the opposition’s objections for elections to be held on 24 April and calls for fair conditions to be provided, the VMRO-DPMNE leader said that two key institutions tasked with organizing well-administered elections, namely the Interior Ministry and the State Election Commission, were managed by SDSM representatives.
“SDSM is running away from elections because they know that their punishment is near,” Gruevski stated describing SDSM as a party of ‘frightened leadership.’
Addressing the conference, he pledged to increase his public appearances in the coming three months, ‘to spend more time with the people and discuss with them the projects of the party.’
“The women of VMRO-DPMNE have never been more united,” urged the president of the party’s Union of Women, Daniela Rangelova. The Union, she said amongst other things, has been committed to strengthening the position of women in the Macedonian society.
