CIA AGENT CAPTURED IN CUBA: An employee of a CIA front organization working in Venezuela was detained in Cuba this week

CIA Agent Captured in Cuba

An employee of a CIA front organization that also funds opposition groups in Venezuela was detained in Cuba last week

By Eva Golinger

An article published in the December 12th edition of the New York Times revealed the detention of a US government contract employee in Havana this past December 5th. The employee, whose name has not yet been disclosed, works for Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI), one of the largest US government contractors providing services to the State Department, the Pentagon and the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The employee was detained while distributing cellular telephones, computers and other communications equipment to Cuban dissident and counterrevolutionary groups that work to promote US agenda on the Caribbean island.

The contradictions of Cuban blogger Yoani Sanchez

Yoani Sanchez

1. The contradictions of Cuban blogger Yoani Sanchez

by Salim Lamrani

On November 7, 2009, the Western media devoted ample space to the Cuban blogger Yoani Sanchez. The news from Havana about the dispute between the dissident and Cuban authorities circled the world and overshadowed the rest of the news.1

Sanchez recounted her mishap in detail on her blog and in the press. In doing so, she declared that she had been detained together with three friends by “three burly strangers” during an “afternoon full of blows, shouting and insults”.2

She later explained her story, which resembles a real ordeal:

“The ‘aggressors’ themselves called for a police car that took my other two companions away […] I refused to get in the shiny Geely and […] received a barrage of blows, shoves, they carried me with my head down and tried to shove me into the car. I held onto the door, blows on the knuckles, I managed to grab a piece of paper that one of them had in his pocket and I stuck it in my mouth. Another flurry of punches so that I would give the document back to them.

…………………………….

Other questions also require answers. Who is behind Sanchez’s desdecuba.net website whose server is hosted in Germany by the company Cronos AG Regensburg **(which also hosts far-right websites) and is registered under the name Josef Biechele? It was also discovered that Sanchez registered her domain name via the U.S. company GoDaddy, whose main characteristic is anonymity. The Pentagon also uses it to register sites with all the necessary discretion. How can Yoani Sanchez, a Cuban blogger living in Cuba , register her site with a U.S. company when the economic sanctions legislation formally prohibits it?42

The Terror UCK - KLA Organisation from Ramuz and Daut Haradinaj: The “Atlantic Brigade”

July 16, 2001

BALKAN SET-UP
America provokes conflict – then intervenes to solve ‘crisis’

In digging up evidence that Slobodan Milosevic isn’t exactly Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, the International Criminal Tribunal for War Crimes in the Former Yugoslavia (ICTFY) may be uncovering more than it bargained for – evidence of American covert operations that play a central role in the ongoing destabilization of the Balkans. This was brought home the other day with the news that the bodies of three Americans have been unearthed in the mass graves found in Serbia – and therein lies a story.

THE ATLANTIC BRIGADE

!!!!!!

L!!!!!!!

It is the story of the “Atlantic Brigade,” a shadowy unit organized and trained in the US, which fought in the Kosovo war at the side of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), numbering some 400 armed fighters. There seems little doubt that these “internationalists” were armed and trained by the US government and its intelligence services. Clinton had, after all, vowed to undermine the government in Belgrade, and the Brigadeers didn’t shy away from publicity: they were given a big sendoff in New York City (the center of Albanian-American activity) and were much celebrated in left-liberal venues such as Salon.com as well as the New York media. Now they are joining the “National Liberation Army” – another name for the KLA – in Macedonia, where Albanian ultra-nationalists are undermining Skopje just as they subverted the authority of Belgrade. Their goal is to create a crisis so that NATO will intervene on (what else?) “humanitarian” grounds.

COVERT ASSAULT ON SERBIA

The three Albanian-Americans were found with their identity papers – rather odd, but we’ll let that pass for the moment – and had apparently been blindfolded and bound with their hands behind their backs, then shot at close range. According to the article, they were also found with Serbian court papers on them (!) indicating that they had been arrested and jailed on June 27 – seventeen days after the Kosovo war officially ended – for entering Serbia illegally. The bombing of Yugoslavia had stopped, but the covert military assault on the former Yugoslavia continued, unabated, with the US-trained-and-financed “Atlantic Brigade” in the front lines of the battle. And that assault continues to this day, with guerrillas on the Serbian-Kosovo border making regular incursions into the alleged “neutral zone” separating Serbia from its amputated province.

SUMMARY JUSTICE

The New York Daily News quotes Isa Kodra, a 20-year old Brooklynite who served with the three men: “When NATO said disarm, these three brothers insisted on hiding [their weapons].” The tone of the Daily News piece valorizes the fallen Bytyqi brothers – Agron, Mehmet, and Yli – and we are clearly supposed to admire these Albanian “daredevils.” But they were, in reality, little more than devils of a different kind: terrorists who were violating the terms of the ceasefire signed by the US and carrying out acts of violence on sovereign Serbian territory. They were engaged in a campaign in Serbia along the same lines as the one now being carried out by the NLA in Macedonia: attacks on civilians (including Albanian “collaborators”), summary executions, and the ethnic cleansing of NLA-controlled towns. The Bytyqi brothers met a well-deserved fate: their deaths were not a “war crime,” but just retaliation for their crimes.

Arrest of “Terrorists” Sows Discord in Montenegro

16 11 2006 Claim that Albanians plotted revolt ends political honeymoon with minority.

By Petar Komnenic in Podgorica (Balkan Insight, 16 Nov 06)

A high profile case has cast a shadow over relations between Montenegro and its Albanian minority, since police arrested a group of Albanians on September 9 on terrorist charges.

The chief prosecutor Vesna Medenica last week said the men had set up a secret organisation, The Movement for
Ethnic Albanian Rights in Montenegro, with the help of former Kosovo Liberation Army fighters, to create an autonomous Albanian region in Montenegro using force.

Investigation to continue in Bytyqi case

BELGRADE — War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukčević has told B92 that the prosecution will continue the investigation into the murder of the Bytyqi brothers.

hey were arrested by the Serbian police and sentenced to 15 day sentences for illegally entering FR Yugoslavia from Albania and served the sentence in the town of Prokuplje in late June and early July 1999.
They were released from jail and were taken by the two indicted former PJP policemen who handed them over to masked
members of Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) forces who killed them and buried the bodies in a garbage dump on the Police special forces training center in Petrovo Selo outside the town of Kladovo in eastern Serbia along the border with Romania.
When the bodies were found in the summer of 2001, forensic experts found a document on one of the bodies of the brothers
dated June 27, 1999 and issued by the misdemeanors court in the town of Kursmulija which said that they had been sentenced to 15 days in jail for illegally entering the FRY.
On March 1, this year the War Crimes Prosecution ordered an investigation against two persons whose names were not disclosed
then on suspicion of having taken part in the murder of the Bitici brothers.

Sreten Popović and Miloš Stojanović leave court yesterday after being found not guilty (FoNet)Vukčević said that the prosecution would appeal the acquittals of two former police officers Sreten Popović and Miloš Stojanović, who were cleared of complicity in the murders.

Asked why the indictment had changed over the last three years, Vukčević said that the prosecution had adjusted the indictment to take into account new evidence presented.

“In any case, we are not happy with the verdict. We will appeal. We believe that the evidence proved that the crimes had been committed, as we said in our closing statement, but the court thought differently,” Vukčević said.

“It was noticed earlier that in cases involving police officers, there is a so-called silent conspiracy. Other police officers and witnesses do not want to point the finger at their friends,” he said.

“I said at the beginning of my mandate that everyone involved in a war crime in any way would be tried,” Vukčević said.

Asked whether that meant that the Bytyqi investigation would continue, he said, “Absolutely.”

Vukčević refuted statements that the prosecution had only targeted low-ranking police officers in the Bytyqi case.
